Lots happening here lately, and for the most part good! So for today, we just talk about the good!
I just launched a new personal website [link] this afternoon, really just a fancy Blog at this point, but will be further developed over time. It currently includes a gallery (pretty much what you see here for now), and some more info of what I am doing. When I get the time I will add some improved graphics and such.
I will also add a selection of tutorials, articles and similar as time permits.
In other news, I have been working on a few projects for the local government Smart Growth workgroup, including a Fine Art poster and advertisements (see scraps) so that was a bit of fun, but most of all is the reason to be involved. Smart Growth is a green living philosophy that encourages Environmentally-sensitive land development with the goals of minimizing dependence on auto transportation, reducing air pollution, and making infrastructure investments more efficient.
This is a great way of looking at any new development and the preservation of open spaces, as it promotes green friendly building codes, alternative fuel development, use of local products and food where possible and similar. All around good stuff!
We continue to work on the new studio and it looks like major work should be completed in about two weeks and then it will be time to play!
I also have been playing with the new 70-200 VR 2.8 lense, what a beautiful piece of glass! Look for new work using this lense soon.
The brain is starting to hurt, so time to go....

that said, I am now off to the Great Sand Dunes for a coupe days of photowork. Need to get back to you on the illustrations you are doing - great stuff!
until later
Thanks you very much! I must apologize for the delay in responding, as I have been very busy with travel and building a new studio.
