New Series featuring Water-Snow-Ice These images are from my first round of captures with very few corrections performed. Some technical concerns such as focus/DOF remain, and look to correct these when my new 70-200 VR arrives later this week.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. my only criticism is that the focus isn't as sharp as it could be. it looks gorgeous in the preview, but when you look at the full-view it's a bit murky. other than that, it's stunning and i can't wait to see more!

Art is the breath of life.
I agree on the focus, the shot was taken with camera on a tripod and about two feet from subject, and maybe six inches above the water. The lense I was using that day was not quite up to the task, but I should get my new nikor 70-200 2.8 VR tomorrow and this will be perfect for these shots. Focus is going to be ultra critical for these shots (and great ice conditions) as I have to place the tripod in the river and movement etc will kill it.
Hope all is well in Texas, it looks like you might have a great spring show in the Hill Country!
